With our gaze
turned towards the everyday we focus on the now to create work, as ‘living
organisms’ to move and be moved, to entertain and question, doubt and
explore. Enact
theatre is engaged in producing pieces in which we understand better ourselves
and what separates life from death. Our aim is to raise questions about
humanity, love, reality and fantasy trying to deal with what humans are waiting
for.
enacttheatre was founded in 2014 by Marina Makris and Elena Kallinikou. The group’s artistic practice focuses mainly on the practices of devised theatre and the adaptation of classical plays. Additionally they organize theatre workshop and seminars inviting renowned artists from Cyprus and abroad.
Their work has toured extensively in several cities and was presented in several festivals in Cyprus and Greece. Their latest production “The Dust is Expected to Retreat by Tomorrow” was selected to represent Cyprus at BJCEM Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale.
